Karma Road

On Sunday, September 21 from 11-3, Karma Road in New Paltz is hosting a Wheatgrass Education Event. Free Wheatgrass juice shots and literature supplied by Perfect Foods.

People who have a gluten, wheat allergy or celiac disease have NO PROBLEM with wheatgrass, as it is the gluten created when processing wheat & other such grains that those people are sensitive/allergic to. The grass is gluten-free, highly nutritious and a detoxifier!

Karma Road is setting the new standard for a great tasting meal or snack, good for your start-up. Consider allowing your body to continue the fast it was engaged in while you slept and "break-fast" with fresh veggie or fruit juice. Try a fruit smoothie with some added spirulina (potent nutritious green powder food), or have some coffee or tea & dive into a healthy alternative to the greasy standard. Enjoy delicious Granola, Fruit Crisp, a Bodacious Breakfast Burrito or Tofu Scramble Breakfast Burrito, Muffin of the Moment, Sweet Potato Biscuits, Soup, or any of the excellent selections on the Karma Road Menu - Great Food is GREAT any time of day!

Here's what Farmer Billiam has to say about Karma Road for Breakfast.

"Bright, clean and really healthy too! It is truly terrific. I love Karma Road for Breakfast. The wonderful atmosphere, plus the people that work there and the people that frequent there are some of the best of the best. They definitely get my seal of approval. Furthermore, they buy my Certified Naturally Grown Apples and other local farmers produce- what more can I say? Buy local, and eat local from a place that is local and buys local."

In addition, please feel free to spread the word via Facebook and / or any local blogs (you know who you are, Facebook / blog people!)...

What's Your Story?

On Thursday, September 25 at 7pm, Patty Kane Horrigan will be holding her, "What's Your Story" workshop. Over the course of the evening people will have the chance to discover and explore the central themes of their lives through the use of myth, astrology and fairy tales.

As Patty tells it, "This workshop came out of an astrology project I did this past spring. I advertised locally, asking for people willing to share their life stories with me and a great number responded. The fascinating thing that came out of the "project" was what I heard within the first few moments. Most everyone gave some phrase or description that encapsulated everything else that followed. I don't know if they knew it when it happened - but there it was, the "theme" in their lives and in their charts.
I love the idea of people telling their story so that they can hear for themselves the unique meaning in their lives. It's as if we carry it right on the tip of our tongue, waiting for a chance to be expressed and acknowledged. This workshop will focus on storytelling (as well as astrology). Hopefully, everyone will have begun writing their own fairy tale by the evening's end."

This workshop will be held at The Sanctuary, 5 Academy Street in New Paltz. The cost is $15.

For more information or to make a reservation, please contact kane-horrigan@eathlink.net , or call (845) 255-4126.
