Plein Air Workshop with Les Castellanos

Come and join Hudson Valley painter Les Castellanos in a one day Plein Air workshop. Using nature as an inspiration, learn how to observe, interpret, and paint what you really see. While students will be encouraged to follow and develop their own personal style the groups main focus is to depict the landscape in a representational manner. Learn how to use color, value and lost edges to create atmospheric perspective.

Choose from several different views of the farm; each beautiful; the hills full of apple trees overflowing with fruit full of color the rows look as if they are in Provance, the Veranda where the long arbor full of Wisteria meets the flower garden and Lily Pond, the barn with stone wall foundation and of course the Catskill views.
Enjoy nature and art at Liberty View Farm in the tradition of Innes, Coles, and Frederic Edwin Church.

Work at your own pace, all levels and mediums welcome. A special day to remember.
