What to do, what to do???

Thanks to everyone who has made it out already to harvest your trees. I hope everyone is home enjoying the fruits of their labor.

We've got more apples, and more gorgeous weekends ahead. Create new memories, spend some time with us here on the farm and then take a beautiful drive to the Greater New Paltz area where there is a lot going on. You deserve the beauty and the bounty of the Hudson River Valley fall harvest.

We are experiencing a bumper crop and lots of great compliments from many of our members, fellow farmers and foodies alike!

I have taken some time to make your trip even more enjoyable;
below are some places I recommend:

Nature is inherently organized,
even when it appears chaotic.

Take some time and treat yourself to a wonderful
calming experience with Ami.

Feel better about yourself and the world.

May I suggest you stop by The Village Tearoom.

You will feel like you are in Europe, great service,
great atmosphere, and of course great food.
Rene and I love it!

I bartered an apple tree for one of Les' beautiful oil paintings. Take a look at this local magnificent artist's work on his blog. My cousin in Holland is addicted to Les, his work and art classes and blog.

Karma Road

On Sunday, September 21 from 11-3, Karma Road in New Paltz is hosting a Wheatgrass Education Event. Free Wheatgrass juice shots and literature supplied by Perfect Foods.

People who have a gluten, wheat allergy or celiac disease have NO PROBLEM with wheatgrass, as it is the gluten created when processing wheat & other such grains that those people are sensitive/allergic to. The grass is gluten-free, highly nutritious and a detoxifier!

Karma Road is setting the new standard for a great tasting meal or snack, good for your start-up. Consider allowing your body to continue the fast it was engaged in while you slept and "break-fast" with fresh veggie or fruit juice. Try a fruit smoothie with some added spirulina (potent nutritious green powder food), or have some coffee or tea & dive into a healthy alternative to the greasy standard. Enjoy delicious Granola, Fruit Crisp, a Bodacious Breakfast Burrito or Tofu Scramble Breakfast Burrito, Muffin of the Moment, Sweet Potato Biscuits, Soup, or any of the excellent selections on the Karma Road Menu - Great Food is GREAT any time of day!

Please Click Here for more information on Karma Road.

Here's what Farmer Billiam has to say about Karma Road for Breakfast.

"Bright, clean and really healthy too! It is truly terrific. I love Karma Road for Breakfast. The wonderful atmosphere, plus the people that work there and the people that frequent there are some of the best of the best. They definitely get my seal of approval. Furthermore, they buy my Certified Naturally Grown Apples and other local farmers produce- what more can I say? Buy local, and eat local from a place that is local and buys local."

Family of New Paltz Turkey Trot

Family of New Paltz is experiencing a tremendous need for their services, not only because of rising food prices, but also because of the coming winter, and anticipated fuel costs.
Please help by contributing to Family in any way you can. Money is always good and is greatly appreciated! :) But also, spreading the word about their fund raising events by emailing your friends can really make a difference, particularly if you have a huge email list. If you have wall space in your business to hang up a flyer please do so! In addition, please feel free to spread the word via Facebook and / or any local blogs (you know who you are, Facebook / blog people!)...
Thanks to wonderful teachers like each of you, I am learning that a small group of people can indeed change the world... (or at least make a bit of a difference here in our hometown...!)
Thank you all so much!!
